Hose Length Measurements

Ace Sanitary hose assemblies are generally measured from end to end. The exceptions to this practice are illustrated below. JIC Female Swivel, Female Cam & Swivel, and Sanitary Bevel Seat fittings are measured lengthwise from the sealing surface of the fitting.

The following illustrations show how to measure the overall length (OAL) of Ace Sanitary hose assemblies, including 45° and 90° elbow fittings. Examples are shown with clamp style sanitary fittings.

Rotation Notes:

When ordering double elbow hose assemblies, angular orientation between the elbows is expressed in degrees. The angle is measured counterclockwise from the centerline of the nearest fitting when the fitting is positioned at 6 o’clock to the centerline of the other fitting, as shown at right.
