Canadian Registration Number (CRN)

The Canadian Registration Number (CRN) is a number issued by each province or territory by an authorized safety authority for any boiler, pressure vessel or fitting that operates at a pressure greater than 15 psig (1 barg). The CRN signifies that the design has been accepted and registered for use in that province or territory.

Ace Sanitary components with CRNs are designed and registered in accordance with CSA B51 and the applicable ASME codes. Where ASME BPE is the governing standard, materials, dimensions, and allowable service conditions follow ASME BPE requirements. Table 326.1 of ASME B31.3 identifies ASME BPE as an acceptable standard for hygienic fittings, but design pressures are established through code calculations and CSA B51 compliance—not from Table 326.1 itself.

For added security, all CRN fittings are etched with Ace Sanitary.
