PTFE Lined Hoses
PTFE lined hoses are engineered for demanding fluid transfer applications across industrial, pharmaceutical, and sanitary environments. They feature an inner liner made from polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), a fluoropolymer valued for its chemical resistance, temperature tolerance, and low friction properties. The liner is reinforced with high-strength braiding or over-braiding to support pressure resistance while maintaining flexibility.
This construction allows PTFE lined hoses to transport aggressive, corrosive, or high-purity media without reacting with or contaminating the material being conveyed. PTFE does not readily absorb fluids or leach compounds, making it well suited for applications where cleanliness and consistent performance are critical.
Compared to rubber, silicone, or metal hoses, PTFE lined hoses offer broader chemical compatibility and a wider operating temperature range. Rubber and silicone can degrade or become limited in harsh environments, while metal hoses lack flexibility. PTFE lined hoses provide a balanced solution that combines durability, flexibility, and resistance in a single assembly.
