Position Summary:
The Inside Sales / Business Development Specialist will play a pivotal role in proactive outreach to existing customers and identifying, engaging, and qualifying new business opportunities. This role requires a highly motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is confident working independently, and is passionate about sales and technology-enabled outreach through LinkedIn and AI platforms. The ideal candidate will be a sociable and adaptable self-starter comfortable operating with autonomy. The scope of the role will focus on Business Development with OEM’s and end users across multiple market segments. This role will report to the Sales Director, and will require interaction with Regional Sales Managers, Business Development Specialists and the Market Manager-Single Use.
Primary Functions:
- Proactively engage existing customers to uncover new opportunities and enhance account relationships
- Generate qualified leads through platforms such as LinkedIn, industry tools, trade shows, and referrals
- Qualify, track, and manage leads within Salesforce CRM to ensure timely handoff and follow-up
- Develop and maintain technical expertise regarding products and industry applications
- Collaborate regularly with Regional Sales Managers, Single-Use Business Development Specialists, and Single-Use Market Manager to support territory goals
- Participate in key national account initiatives and coordinate internally as needed
- Attend trade shows and support customer meetings in partnership with RSMs and SU-BD Mgrs
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of sales activities and outcomes in Salesforce
- Assist in the preparation of sales materials, presentations, and reports
- Services existing accounts, provides quotes, processes orders and resolves issues
- Demonstrate commitment to continuous learning and sales development

- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Life Sciences, or related field preferred
- 4-7 years of experience in sales, business development, or a customer-facing role
- Experience using LinkedIn and CRM tools for lead generation and tracking
- Willingness to travel up to 25% for trade shows and customer visits
- Openness to relocation for long-term career advancement
- Must be able to perform the physical demands of the job such as:
- Extended periods of sitting; some standing, walking, and travel
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs occasionally
- Use of computer and office equipment
